I just finished my first week of school and I was so unprepared for what was coming. Here is a copy of my schedule for this semester. I know that table looks pretty unbalanced because I only have one thing scheduled everyday except Wednesdays. I need to figure out a way to make it look prettier! Ah well.

Compared to the last three semesters of my Radiography program, this semester seems very intense – and I’m sure it isn’t going to be getting any easier. The good thing is, I get more time in Clinicals so I have more experience working in the hospital. On my first few days of Clinicals, it was so busy – especially on Friday. We were pretty short-staffed and the Emergency Room was being flooded with patients. I ended up working over there for a while, on my own, while the technologists were busy doing OR cases and such. I’m glad that the technologists at the hospital are allowing me to do stuff on my own – and that they trust me enough to do so. Too bad I don’t get paid with money – I’m always joking around with them and telling them I should get paid and that they should just hire me. Haha.

        Well, after a mere two week break from school, my summer has ended I start going back to classes and clinicals tomorrow and I’m going to have a pretty busy schedule. I’ll be sure to post my class schedule in the Owner section of the site later on. It’s a shame that it has to be like this when I start working on my site again…oh well. I’ll try to keep it updated and such during my downtime!
        On the bright side, my parents bought me a shiny new HP computer from Costco. It only came out to be about $600 (including tax) and it’s a pretty good computer. It came with a nice 20-inch LCD monitor as well – so much bigger than my measly laptop! The only thing is, the integrated video card it came with is pretty bad. I can’t play games like Starcraft II and World of Warcraft on maximum settings with no FPS lag. My brother tried taking the video card from my old computer and putting it in this one but for some reason it was busted so I will have to buy a new one when I get the money. We found a decent one for $65-100 at Newegg so it’s not too bad I’m also going to buy an adapter so I can use my old hard drive as a slave drive on this computer – that way, I can hopefully recover some old files.
        Since I have a new computer, I don’t have access to Photoshop or Illustrator anymore so I am considering getting Gimp. My brother has a copy of Photoshop CS5 but we need a DL DVD disc to burn the copy – we checked Best Buy for one and the only ones they had were so expensive (well, compared to others we have seen). I mean, I can always use my laptop but it seems ancient now – haha. I also noticed that the graphics on my site, and everywhere else, is so much brighter than on my laptop. My layout kind of seems like there is neon-green grass! I’m sure that when I get my hands on Photoshop, I will be tweaking the colors on my site some time.
